Community Information
Clubhouse and Park Reservations

New for 2022, we have added a reservation calendar for the Clubhouse rentals on our website. This new calendar allows residents to view if the clubhouse is available on a certain day without having to call the Y. Once you see the availability on the calendar for the day you are interested in renting, you can then fill out the online rental form and the YMCA will confirm your rental and add it to the calendar as reserved. To view more information about renting the clubhouse and to view the new calendar, visit our website at:

In addition, we updated the park pavilion webpage to include a viewable reservation calendar. To view information on reserving a pavilion and see the new park reservation calendar visit our website at:

We hope the availability calendars will make it easier for residents to rent our beautiful clubhouse and park pavilions!

Park Phase II:

We are excited to announce that we are officially going out to bid to begin Phase II of the Wheatlands Park! We will be hiring our contractor and hopefully issuing a notice to proceed by the end of February. The project should take about 5 months from start to finish (weather permitting). This phase will have more site work for grades and concrete pour then the previous phase. We will continue to keep the neighborhood informed as the project progresses.

Clubhouse Lighting:

The board approved the installation of permanent outside decorative lights at the clubhouse during our last meeting. The use of LED lights will allow for additional security and visibility around the clubhouse. In addition, the community will save money on decorating the clubhouse during the winter holiday season each year. The decorative lights will allow flexibility in changing the clubhouse colors for different holidays and/or community celebrations.

Swim Team:

The swim team committee received approval to move forward with the new swim team contract at our last board meeting. The swim team will practice in the mornings before the pool opens and will have 3 meets on Saturdays during the summer. The time and dates for the meets will be shared with the community as we get closer to summer.  The swim team will be responsible for taking care of the pool and cleaning up after every practice and meet. They will have their own staff at the pool during these times. The YMCA staff will arrive at the pool a half an hour before open swim starts to check the chemicals at the pool and get the pool ready for residents to swim.

District Landscaping Information:

Tree removal and replacement continues to take place throughout the district. The mulch by the clubhouse playground has been replenished. Staining on the monument fences is being completed as weather allows.  Winter watering is continuing and snow removal is happening as needed. Ornamental grass pruning will begin next month and continue as we approach spring.

Girls Bathroom Remodel:

This project continues to make progress and is on track to be completed before the pool opens this summer. The new tile is being installed as we speak.

District Financing:

Each year the district hires an outside firm to conduct our annual financial audit. The audit this year will begin in March and will be posted to the website once completed.

Waste Management:

Just a friendly reminder to have your recycling and trash bins out on the morning of pick up before 7am or after 5pm on the day before pick up to ensure proper pick up service. Please see the recycling calendar below.

Holiday Lighting and Decorations

While it may be hard to believe, we are already in the second month of the new year and the holiday season is sadly over. The time has come to take down the lights and decorations. Please take this opportunity to review your District’s rules.

Per the Wheatlands Residential Improvement Guidelines section 3.44 Lights and Lighting

“Holiday lighting and decorations do not require approval. It is required that they not be installed more than forty-five (45) days prior to the holiday. They shall be removed within thirty (30) days following the holiday.”
If you have any questions or concerns regarding holiday lighting and decorations, please email [email protected]
Upcoming Home paint and maintenance inspections

During the month of February, we will be conducting our annual paint and home maintenance inspections. Even though we are looking for all maintenance items monthly, this time of year when the grass is dormant and the trees are without leaves, makes reviewing the state of the paint on each individual home clearer and more focused. We will be looking for any fading, chipping, or peeling of the paint on each home.
If you already have plans to paint this spring, please let us know by emailing [email protected]

If you are painting the same colors or touching up with the same colors, you do not have to submit an application for approval.
If you are wanting to change your paint scheme, approval is required, and an application will need to be submitted for review. The approved color schemes are listed online https://www.wheatlandsmetro.org/anatomy-of-a-house/

Along with your filled out application form please provide a picture of the current colors of your home, pictures of the neighbors on either side of you, as well as a picture of the 2 neighbors across the street.  Please clearly label on a picture of your home, showing the location of where each color will be painted. See example on the Wheatlands website link listed above.
