Community Update
Pool Maintenance
The board recognizes the need to resurface the bottom of our outdoor lap pool as well as replace the grates in the zero -entry pool. The board reviewed several quotes at the August board meeting and voted to move forward with Front Range to do the work. They plan to start as soon as the pool closes for the season and will be completed prior to opening next year.
YMCA Partnership
The CFO of the Denver YMCA, David Wyman, has been attending our Wheatlands board meetings once a quarter this year. We appreciate his reporting on memberships, programs, sales, and revenue. We also have the director of the YMCA, Lori Walker, attend our board meetings to discuss upcoming programs, staffing, and building maintenance. This partnership is important to our community, and we are glad to have their representation at our meetings. We welcome neighborhood feedback, so if you have a suggestion, feel free to attend an upcoming meeting or email us at board@wheatlandsmetro.org.
Access Aurora
Did you know the City of Aurora has a website and app that our neighbors can use to report issues to them regarding the streets and sidewalks in our neighborhood? See a pothole and want it fixed? Use the app and report it. You can also report E motorcycles, E Dirtbikes, street parking violations and more. To report an issue, visit their website at https://www.auroragov.org/city_hall/contact_us
Water Usage
We continue to do our part to conserve water and reduce our water consumption during this summer’s drought. WheatlandsMetroDistrict’s recommended water use for the August billing period was 5,877,100 gallons and actual water use for the month was 2,836,000 gallons or 48% of recommended
Coventant Enforcement
As summer comes to an end and the vibrant colors of fall begin to grace our neighborhood, the district would like to thank all homeowners for their continued efforts in maintaining the beauty and harmony of our community. With the changing season, we have a few important reminders and updates to help keep Wheatlands looking its best.

Enhancing Your YMCA Experience: Digital Upgrades Coming Sept. 8
Dear Denver YMCA Community Member,
We are committed to providing you with the best possible experience across every touchpoint at the Y. You told us our digital tools could be smoother, faster and more intuitive — and we listened. Starting September 8, we are launching an upgraded digital platform and a revamped mobile app designed to make your daily YMCA experience more seamless, flexible and convenient.
By adopting proven technology used by leading YMCAs across the country, we are modernizing how you interact with our programs, classes and facilities.
Upgrades to Your Everyday Y Experience
- Effortless Program & Account Access: Navigate a simpler, more intuitive online portal to manage your membership, explore offerings and register for programs in just a few clicks.
- Quicker, More Secure Transactions: Enjoy faster, secure payment processing whenever you check in or make purchases at our front desks.
- A Feature-Rich Mobile App: Book fitness classes and Adventure Zone reservations, purchase Personal Training and Pilates Reformer sessions, check trainer profiles and view facility hours directly from your phone.
Two Simple Steps to Get Ready
#1 Confirm Your Email (Now)
Ensure your active email address is on file by verifying it in your online account. If an update is needed, contact us online or stop by the front desk of your wellness center. Your current email will be required to activate your new account in early September.
#2 Activate Your New Account (Starting Sept. 8)
Look out for step-by-step instructions to set up your new online profile and download the updated mobile app.
We will have dedicated staff on-site at our Y centers Sept. 8 – 10 to provide hands-on support and answer any questions.
HEADS UP: If you joined the Denver YMCA on or after Aug. 7, 2026 or if you’ve made any chnges to your membership since Aug. 7, 2026, please stop by the front desk of your wellness center to confirm your account information is accurate and up to date.
Temporary Impact to Class Reservations
As we transition to our new reservation system, there will be a few temporary changes to how class reservations function. Here’s what to expect:
- Sept. 1: Last day to reserve classes a full 10 days in advance in the current system. You can reserve classes taking place through Sept. 10.
- Sept. 2 – 6: Reservations will temporarily be limited. You can continue making reservations for classes taking place through Sept. 7, but reservations for later dates will not be available.
- Sept. 7: No class reservations can be made as we complete the transition to the new system.
- Sept. 8: Our new reservation system launches! Beginning this day, all class reservations will be made in the YMCA app/new system.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Denver YMCA community as we continue investing in a better experience for you.
The YMCA programs, sports and fitness classes are NOT sponsored by the Wheatlands Metro District.
