Community Event Recap
Wheatlands residents know how to welcome in summer!
Thank you to the YMCA for hosting our summer social today!
It was a blast with free pizza, ice cream, face painting and balloon twisting.
Thank you to Melissa Engel and Erin Mehojah for helping to sponsor this fun event and all of our residents who came out to celebrate summer with us.
Approximately 25 homes participated in this years’ Spring Community Garage Sale. Friday had a lot of activity throughout the community. Saturday was a little more quiet with garage sale shoppers. Overall, sales went well. The google map was super helpful to help advertise the garage sale locations.
Thank you to everyone that participated.
What a fun evening Wheatlands!!!! We enjoyed some amazing food from our food truck friends while listening to Amanda V’s Material Girl and Princess and the Evolution band, as well as having Magic Matt do his special magic tricks. They were so much fun!!

A very special thank you again to Jen Cronk from 1320 Homes Real Estate for sponsoring the band for tonight’s food truck event! And a special thank you to Isabell Oelze Rodau from the YMCA for putting this all together. What a great way to spend a beautiful summer night, enjoying live music, friends and fabulous food!
200 cubic yards of trash, debris… you name it, and hauled away!
4 tons of paper shredded and destroyed.
Way to clean up Wheatlands!

Another very special thank you to Jen Cronk from 1320 Homes Real Estate and Melissa Engel from Home Mortgage Alliance for sponsoring and organizing the Shred and Dumpster Day for Wheatlands community.
Community Information
Park Phase II:
Park Phase II Update:
Construction continues on the park. Surveyor will be out to shoot elevations for cheek walls along the stairs at the south end of the site; concrete crew will be out soon to start forming the cheek walls for the stairs. Demolition on the north side of the park has begun; sod has been tilled and will soon be ready for stockpiling. Demolition of concrete pavement, play structure and other items in progress. Rebar has been delivered and prepared for installation but had not yet been set inside the foundation forms. The board notified them that fences for construction are blocking the sidewalk and they are going to move them off the sidewalk unless that immediate area is being worked on. We will continue to keep the community updated on the park progress and appreciate your patience during the construction process.

No Dumping at the Clubhouse or Open Spaces:
During the last few months we have seen an uptick in dumping at the clubhouse. We do have cameras in the clubhouse parking lot and give license plate numbers to the police. Please be a responsible neighbor and do not dump anything by the clubhouse. Tri-County recently shared this list of ways to recycle that might be helpful for our neighbors if you have bigger items or items that can not be picked up by Waste Management’s normal service.
Here is there A-Z recycling guide: www.tchd.org/RecycleGuide

In addition, no dumping in the open spaces. Signs have been added as a reminder to residents. Please help keep our community beautiful, please dispose of your items properly.

Clean up after your pet:
Please be a good neighbor and help keep our neighborhood clean and beautiful. Please clean up after your furry friend. There has been an increase of residents not cleaning up after their dogs. Please be considerate and do the right thing.

Urban Soccer Fields at our Recreation Center:
The district is looking into adding Urban Soccer Fields outside the recreation center. These fields are outdoor turf fields and can be multi-purpose used for volleyball, lacrosse, soccer and several sports. A presentation was completed at our last board meeting and a committee was formed to get more details from the contractor during an onsite visit in a few weeks. We look forward to learning more and enhancing the space around our recreation facility.
COVENANT ENFORCEMENT
-Please make sure your trash cans are stored out of sight.

-Weeds are growing fast right now, please make sure to treat and remove weeds on a regular basis.

-With the high temperatures lately, please remember to give your plants some extra water at the cooler parts of the day, early morning or evening.
