Kids Night Out

Dinner at KNO is back!

When: Friday, December 17th

5:30 pm-8:30 pm

Where: Aurora YMCA at Wheatlands

What: Kids Night Out

Drop the kids off for 3 hours of fun. Dinner, games, crafts, and a movie. Our staff will start the evening with dinner and then lead the kids through a craft and some fun games and activities, followed by a movie.

Ages: Potty-trained to 12 years old.

Please register by the previous Wednesday.

Cost: $15/child

Limited to 20 kids.

In order for us to have Kids Night Out will need at least 6 children to sign up.

Aurora YMCA at Wheatlands will be hosting a Children’s Hospital Colorado Mobile Blood drive on Tuesday, December 21 2021!

Your donation will make a big difference. There are plenty of available appointments so if you are able to donate, please click the sign up link below. The process takes about 30 to 45 minutes total, from arrival, paperwork, a brief interview to the actual blood draw.

Remember to have something to eat and hydrate beforehand, we will have snacks available after your donation! Donors will need to bring their government issued ID’s (passport or driver’s ID) to each donation. Please know that 30 minutes of your time could mean a lifetime to a child in need!

In the past 3 months, I have traveled out of the U.S or Canada
I have received a tattoo and/or piercing in the last 3 months
I am currently taking antibiotics for an infection
I have received a shingles shot in the last 4 weeks
In the past 12 months I have been under a doctor’s care for something non-routine or have had a surgery
I weigh less than 110 pounds
I am under 18 years old
I am a healthcare worker caring for COVID-19 positive patients and have not consistently been able to use recommended personal protective equipment (face mask, gown and gloves)
I have received a COVID-19 vaccine in the past 14 days
I have been in close contact with someone with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days
I am currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and/or feeling unwell

Join us for the

Wheatlands Winter Wonderland

Holiday Decorating Contest.

Does your house stand out in the neighborhood during the most wonderful time of the year?

When: November 26- December 26th

Where: Wonderful Wheatlands Neighborhood

The Details:

Entries will be shared on a community map, and each house participating will be given a number sign to place in their front yard.

The décor will be judged in the evening (after dark) between December 17th and December 19th by all of our Wheatland residents!

A Visit from Santa

on a Horse Drawn Carriage

Sunday, December 12th

4:30pm – 6:30pm

Santa Claus is coming to town or rather to our neighborhood!

In partnership with the North Pole, the Wheatlands Metro District and 1320 Homes Real Estate has made arrangements for Santa to make an appearance in our neighborhood a few weeks before Christmas.

Due to his hectic schedule, Santa will not stop in the neighborhood but will drive by waving and wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas.

He will be leaving his reindeer at home and instead will be pulled by a horse drawn carriage. Santa will begin his journey at 4:30pm on Sunday, December 12th.

Grab your cookies and hot chocolate and stay in your home all cozy and warm if you wish and wait for Santa to arrive in the neighborhood!
