Community Event Recap

Thank you to everyone that came out for the Welcome Back to Summer event on June 17th. The weather was a little chilly and it drizzled for a bit, but then the rains went away, and the sun came out. The Pizza from Dion’s and ice creams was thoroughly enjoyed by the residents, along with the entertainment that we had. This was the first day that the activity pool was open as well. It was great to see the littles enjoying the activity pool. It was wonderful to see all the residents that came out to enjoy this fun event. The kids loved the face painter and balloon twister. Animal Safari brought out their amazing animals to educate the kids. And a special thank you to Erin Mehojah with Exit Realty DTC for sponsoring the kids and adult beverages.

We had 27 homes participate it this year’s Garage Sale! The weather this weekend was not great, but overall sounds like most homes had a decent amount of shoppers! Thanks for all those that participated.

Unfortunately, this event was cancelled due to the huge thunderstorm and tornado warning that came through. We have rescheduled the event for Thursday, July 27th. See you then.

Landscape Maintenance:

Weekly checking of replacement of trash and dog waste bags has been occurring, with the Wheatlands Park being checked 3 times a week. Irrigation inspections were complete and continue as needed. Plantings around the pool have been completed. Painting of the fence around the air conditioning unit inside the pool is to be completed in the next 1-2 weeks weather permitting, it will be painted to match the clubhouse exterior. Monument perennial plants are being replaced and substitute plant suggestions are occurring for those plants that didn’t make it through the last year.

Pool Maintenance:

We appreciate the community’s patience as we worked to fix the activity pool this spring. We are excited it is open and the community can enjoy both pools this summer! Don’t forget we have an indoor pool at the YMCA that you can use as well on those colder rainy days.

Urban Soccer Field:

All the rain over this last month has delayed the groundwork for the urban soccer field. We are still working with Urban Soccer to come out and lay the field and hope to have an opening date soon.

Kona Ice:

Kona Ice will be coming to our pool once a month this summer! We will be having them on the 1st Monday of each month starting at 2:30pm, so bring your money to the pool if you want to enjoy an Icee during those hot summer months.
