Mask Mandate Update

As a measure to control and reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community and prevent deaths and serious illness, Jefferson County Public Health and Tri-County Health Department yesterday released new public health orders regarding the use of masks.

So, we are making the following changes to our policies effective Wednesday, November 24, 2021:
Any‌ ‌individual,‌ ‌age‌s two‌ ‌(2)‌ ‌and‌ ‌older‌, regardless of vaccination status, ‌is‌ ‌required‌ to‌ ‌wear‌ ‌a‌ ‌mask ‌when‌ ‌entering‌ ‌or‌ ‌within‌ ‌an‌ ‌indoor‌ ‌space‌ ‌at the Aurora YMCA.
All residents and there quests using the Wheatlands clubhouse will be required to wear a mask while inside the facility.

This includes all staff; members; program participants in sports, Adventure Zone and any other programs conducted inside the YMCA.

Individuals who are in the pool and actively engaged in a pool activity will be exempt from wearing a mask. A mask will be required going to and from the pool.
We will communicate this news to members through signage at the Front Desks and to be posted around the centers; on the digital screens; through email communication to members and participants; social media; mobile app notifications; and will be updated on our website.
The policy will be in effect until or unless it is rescinded by the county health departments above.
