Community Information

Pool Maintenance:

You might have seen the Pool Doctors at the pool in January as they have begun work on repairing our pool for next summer. The board approved the zero-entry pool to be replastered for next year at our February meeting. The new plaster has a 10-year warranty. Once the pool doctor has completed their repairs, the plaster contractor will come out to finish the work on the pool. Work will continue during the pool off season so we can be prepared for the pool to open on time next summer. To save money the board approved having the Pool Doctor come out bi-weekly instead of weekly next summer. The board also approved the purchase of a new and enhanced pool vacuum that will help the YMCA keep debris out of the pools. We know how much the outdoor pool means to our community and look forward to the repairs being completed.

Landscape Maintenance:

Spring pruning is scheduled for February and March. Traffic pruning and dead limb removal is ongoing and as needed throughout the property. The board is still waiting to get on the landscape architect schedule to discuss a plan for slowly adding xeriscape to our community in order to benefit from the City of Aurora's rebate program. In the meantime, COX Landscaping continues to perform lawn care and snow removal on our community property throughout the winter.

Clubhouse Maintenance:

We have noticed that our clubhouse lights keep turning on at different times and are not on when they are supposed to be. Our property manager had our lighting contractor come out to figure out a solution and it appears the system is losing connection to the server in the clubhouse. The board voted at our last meeting to fix the system and allow the lights to be controlled via mobile device by our property manager. We thank the community for their patience with the lights and look forward to them being back on their regular schedule. In addition, the board also approved installing 2 baby changing stations in the clubhouse bathrooms.

Park Security Cameras:

The board has partnered with the Wheatlands Park and Recreation Authority to have Prosec, our security camera company, use the internet connection across the street at the YMCA to allow for a live feed of our cameras at the park. This will enable our cameras to be pulled up in real time on mobile devices by our property manager. It will also allow our manager to go back and look through the camera footage for specific dates and times easily and not have to be at the park to pull the footage. We hope this will allow us to easily give any vandalism footage to law enforcement and stop the graffiti and vandalism at the park.
