May Lawn Care Tips

Springtime is a critical time of year for developing a healthy, drought-tolerate lawn. Here are a few landscaping tips for May:
  1. Fire up your irrigation systems
  2. Aerate and fertilize lawns
  3. Mow lawns to remove all the dead layers from the winter.

Spring Painting and Staining

Spring is officially here and it is time to apply additional stain or paint to keep your home, deck and fence looking great. Regular physical and aesthetic maintenance of fencing is required to stay in compliance with the Metro District standards.

All fences must be stained using one of the approved stain colors shown on Schedule 2 of the Covenant Document and sealed with a clear waterproof sealant. Any fences that back to open space or district property must be painted the nightingale color which can be found in the guidelines.

Decks may be finished with a clear semi-transparent sealer, stained to match a cedar tone, an oil based wood finish or a similar product that matches. The deck may also be painted to match the body or trim color of the home.

Please visit http://www.wheatlandsmetro.org/covenents/ for the full list of staining requirements. Our covenant specialists, AMI, are also available to assist you if you have any questions feel free to reach out to them at 303-351-5411 or [email protected].

• Footings for the playground curb walls should be ready for review by the end of the week

• Boulders were selected for the park
